Respect the pause

I’ve been leaving in-between worlds. I lived with strangers, I lived with very few things, I lived far away, in cities that I didn’t know anyone, I lived with a suitcase for a while, moving countries, I lived.

I remember a time where I was eating just bread and I made my coffee in a pan. I was conquering my independence and it felt beautiful to just be able to have a life of my own.

And then, there was a moment where I felt so proud of the things I had conquered that I spent a lot without really planning.

I’ve grown, I’ve learned and I made mistakes. I thought life was solved.

But that’s the beauty of life. It’s never about solving. It’s about learning new things always, growing always.

Now, I’m living a moment of pause. A moment of reflection and understanding and it’s as important as the moments of action because the pause teaches us something fabulous: patience and listening. If we don’t learn how to listen, the world will collapse with the excess of noise – it’s already happening in some level – because people are getting tired of their own words.

So, for now, I’ll just enjoy silence.
